If you are on pills
We recommend getting your blood drawn 6-12 hours after your last dose.
If you are on injections
We recommend getting your blood drawn mid-injection. "Mid-injection" means:
- 3-4 days after your weekly injections - make sure it has been at least a full 72 hours since you last injected
- 7-9 days after your injection if you inject every 2 weeks
- 2-3 days after your last injection if you inject twice a week
If you are on patches
Try to get labs done the day you are due to change your patch but BEFORE you change it.
If you are on gel or cream
We recommend you get your labs drawn 6-12 hours after your last application. Try not to apply on arms or shoulders a week before labs are due as this can interfere with the test.
NOTE: If labs are out of expected range due to incorrect timing, we may ask you to repeat your labs.
