You can cancel your membership directly from your FOLX account by following the steps below:
- Log in to your account
- Navigate to the “Billing & Insurance” tab
- Click “Cancel Membership” under the FOLX membership section.
- Note: If you have a yearly membership, this option won't appear until 6 weeks prior to your renewal date. Please send us a message for assistance.
You may also send us a message requesting cancellation and we can do so on your behalf. Note that you need to be logged in to your account when making this request and will need to provide at least seventy-two (72) hours notice before your billing date to ensure we receive your request in time.
If you have any appointments that are scheduled to occur after your membership has been cancelled, we will ask you to cancel those before cancelling your membership. As long as you are outside of the cancellation window for appointments, you will be refunded the cost of the appointment.
Once your membership is cancelled:
- You will have access to your account and membership features until the end of your billing period. For example: if your billing date is on the 15th of the month, you'll retain access through the 14th.
- You will not be billed future membership fees unless you reactivate.
- You will not be refunded for any membership fees already paid.
- You may still receive a bill or be charged by FOLX after cancelling if:
- You've recently completed labs at Quest Diagnostics utilizing our negotiated rates and have not been billed. How will I pay for labs?
- You've utilized your insurance for a visit and have a remaining balance after your claim is processed. Why did I receive a billing notification from athenahealth?
If you'd like to return to FOLX after cancelling, you can reactivate directly from your FOLX account!
