How does FOLX work?

  • Updated

The process is simple. Sign up for a membership and then schedule a visit for a clinical need you have. We’ll ask you for some health history and medical information, and you’ll be able to meet your clinician through a virtual visit –all from the comfort of your home. Your clinician will then review your information and work with you to design a personalized care plan based on your needs and goals.

FOLX offers visits for individual events like STI screenings or the flu. We also offer ongoing care for topics like gender affirming hormone therapy, mental health medication management and therapy (in some states), and can even be your primary care provider!

If a prescription is needed, your clinician will send it to the pharmacy of your choice where you can use insurance to pay. Members receiving gender affirming hormone therapy also have the choice to work with our partner pharmacy to pay out of pocket and have their medications shipped safely to their door in discreet packaging.

To ensure your safety and security, you'll need to provide a government issued photo ID. We also require a credit card to sign up and pay for services. We take the privacy and security of your information very seriously. We store your photo ID in an encrypted format within our HIPAA-compliant platform. We do not store your credit card number directly; it is held by Stripe, a leading payment processing platform with rigorous security and privacy policies.
