If you have in-network insurance, you can utilize your insurance to pay for your labs at Quest Diagnostics. To do this, you'll need to upload your insurance information to your FOLX account and notify your clinician that you'd like to pay for your labs with insurance via the Athena Patient Portal. Your clinician will then submit your lab order with the necessary information to process your billing through insurance.
If you have out-of-network insurance, you may be able to utilize insurance to pay for your labs at a non-Quest lab (members are unable to utilize out-of-network insurance at Quest at this time). To do this, you'll need to notify your clinician of the lab facility name and location that you'd like to utilize via the Athena Patient Portal. When visiting the lab, you'll present your insurance information for billing.
Please note: Every insurance plan provides different coverage for labs. FOLX will not know the amount the lab will cost you -- it's always best to check with your insurance company directly to confirm cost and coverage before completing your labs.
