Yes, it is safe to drink alcohol while taking any gender-affirming hormone, including testosterone, estradiol, finasteride, and progesterone. Some medications do interact with alcohol. Older age, taking other sedating medicines or drugs, having an-estradiol predominant body make people more at risk for intoxication and long term harmful effects. Excessive use of alcohol can be dangerous and lead to other health problems.
