Start by logging into the Message Center using the email address associated with your FOLX account. From there send a message including the email address you’d like to update to.
We are only able to discuss information related to your subscription if you reach out from the email address associated with your FOLX account. Once we make a change to your email, the new email address is what you will use to login to your FOLX account, the Message Center, and Athena patient portal going forward.
Special Considerations for Gmail and Proton Mail Users
Gmail and Proton Mail allow their users to use “alternative” or shortened forms of their email addresses to log in to their email accounts or receive emails.
- For Gmail users, the addresses jane.doe@gmail.com and janedoe@gmail.com are the same and will route to the same inbox.
- For Proton Mail users, the addresses jane.doe@proton.me and jane.doe@pm.me are effectively the same and will route to the same inbox.
Even though the email providers consider these to be the same inbox/account, members cannot use them interchangeably to log in to our systems. Attempting to do so will create a duplicate FOLX account, which cannot be used for anything other than messaging.
You will always need to use the iteration of the email you originally signed up with to access your FOLX account.
