Yes, FOLX offers letters for gender-affirming surgeries. To request a medical letter for insurance or surgeon approval, send us a message.
At this time, a letter from a mental health professional is only available to members in select states. In those states, providing a letter for gender affirming procedures is up to the discretion of our therapists. If you live in one of those states, you can schedule a visit with one of our therapists. If you do not live in one of the states listed here, you can send us a message for a referral to an affirming provider.
Please note: a therapist's role in letter writing is to evaluate and attest to documenting a member's eligibility and readiness for medical treatment. Because each person is unique, one of our therapists will need to meet with you at least twice to gather enough information to make this assessment.
